Nazarene Missions

Following the example of Jesus, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) partners with local Nazarene congregations around the world to clothe, shelter, feed, heal, educate, and live in solidarity with those who suffer under oppression, injustice, violence, poverty, hunger, and disease. NCM exists in and through the Church of the Nazarene to proclaim the Gospel to all people in word and deed. - Nazarene Compassionate Ministries' Mission Statement

As a local church within global denomination, The Church of the Nazarene, we partner together with churches across the world to provide food, water, and shelter to those in need. As a community, we work to undo injustice by providing education to children and by fighting human trafficking. We are truly better when we work together under the same banner and mission of proclaiming the Name and Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our sponsored Missionaries: The Salazar Family

Ana and Carlos Salazar are originally from Guatemala. They have 3 children, Amy, Andrea, and Gabriel. They serve in the Mesoamerica Regional Communications Ministry and currently reside in Costa Rica.

Carlos and Ana began their service as employees of the former MAC Region in Guatemala. Carlos served from 2000 to 2008, and Ana from 2007 to 2008.

In 2009, both were called to serve as regional missionaries in Costa Rica. Then, in 2015, they served as missionaries with Special Assignment. Four years later (2019), they were commissioned as global missionaries of the Church of the Nazarene to serve in the Mesoamerica Region.

Mesoamerica Communications supports all regional ministries by providing tools to help them fulfill the mission of making Christ-like disciples... The Communications ministry's goal is to present the gospel to the world through technology and media.

Carlos serves specifically as producer and videographer and video editor, Webmaster of the regional site and is a member of the CMG IT team as IT administrator for the Mesoamerica region.

Ana is in charge of news and coordinates social media for the region.

"If Christ goes with me, I will go, I will not be afraid, I will go with joy, with me he goes. It is a joy to serve Jesus, to carry the cross. If Christ goes with me, I will go”. It is part of one of their favorite hymns, which they carry in their hearts as they walk with Jesus on the missionary path.

Thank you for blessing our lives with your prayers; we have felt God's love, care, and help in response. God bless you!

Alabaster Offering

We highlight our Alabaster Offering every February and September.

What is Alabaster? The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. While we understand the church consists of the people of God and not a building, buildings erected for the purpose of ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to “put down roots.”

Alabaster funds are used to provide places where people worship, heal, learn, and missionaries live.
